is a series of award winning writings that originally appeared in a handful of small
newspapers in Southwest, MN. The collection contains reflective
writings on life, experience, and change as well as associated humor
and tragedy along the way. However, random and trivial ramblings have

While the subjects
and settings range widely, there is an admittedly oft-repeating irony
in the "big city" writer's preoccupation with small town living, the
simple life and its innate and poignant benefits and seeming truths.
The contrasting backdrop of his perpetual, self-inflicted urban life
with its metropolitan crush and sprawl sets the stage for yet another
grass-is-greener human condition.
The bar is rather low as for the desired response of each reader. The
author is willing to settle for a chuckle, or even a single raised brow.
